He delivers CPD for staff, ECTs and trainees, ensuring teachers feel confident and equipped to embed computing meaningfully.
Passionate about building digital skills in the classroom, Paul is committed to helping pupils thrive in an increasingly digital world and prepare for future careers where computing and technology play a vital role.

Richard Smith founded AmazingICT 15 years ago with the aim of supporting staff and students to become more confident in their use of technology to support learning. As the company developed it became clear that schools required both face to face training in the classroom and online support via both courses and email. There has always been a focus on creating content rather than simply consuming online content.

As part of the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Richard delivers to The Alliance of Leading Learning (ALL) Shropshire Primary Partnership (SPP) and Severn Training and Schools Alliance (STSA)

In September 2025 Richard became an associate consultant for the delivery of content as part of the DFE ATLL Pilot (Assistive Technology Lending Library). He is contracted to support Shropshire LA with equipment and software to enhance learning for SEND.

Richard is the person of choice for many schools in terms of training linked to the opportunities and challenges of AI use. He has trained both Governors and Staff in the six courses he has run so far. He has also spoken on BBC radio about AI and Online Safety.

Richard delivers termly courses for Computing Coordinators/Leads with the Spring course attracting 20 delegates. This is key as staff have varying levels of experience and often benefit from ideas, resources and the opportunity for discussion.

Richard tries to share the values of kindness and creativity with both students and staff.
